living the dream

with as much as there is to tell about the new business, i'm going to be brief and sum up what i've learned about myself over the last two weeks:
1. i'm a much better worker than a manager.
2. i'm too passive.
3. bartending for three years definitely has given me an edge in the sales department
4. 100 hour work weeks hurt, but they feel good in some sick twisted way.
5. organization is key and i'm doing ok at it but still need some improvement.
6. i love working with my brother.
7. i'm a competitive asshole. my goal in life is to put the other two candy shops in the mall out of business.
8. every once in a while, i need to step back and just look at the place. i learned an extraordinary amount today just by looking at it for 5 minutes from a different perspective.
