the break up

i just received an email from one of my employees stating that she wishes to resign. having read this email it sounds like i just got dumped. "you're a really great person but..." and "it's not you, it's me." duh..wha?!? maybe i got lost somewhere in the how-to-be-a-boss manual but i seem to remember that resignations were short, to the point, and professional. the fact that she used the "it's not you" line is what fascinates me the most. We all know what the real meaning of that statement is but I can't say that it bothers me. I know that I try to be the best boss that I can be and if that isn't good enough, well, i guess that's just how it goes.

holy crap has it been a long week already. come on easter...just a few more days until i can sleep again.
