butt-day party
tomorrow, it's my nephew ethan's butt-day. at least, that's what it sounds like when he says birthday. i've always found buying gifts to be extremely difficult. i want to make sure it's something the person is going to like and use but this is pretty much a crap shoot. i know what i like, but other people...not so much. it's a little easier since he is a boy and at that age we all pretty much like the same thing...monster trucks and things that can inflict pain. he really likes power rangers but self-preservation says that a toy having to do with them is just going to involve us playing power rangers more often (aka beat the hell out of uncle mike). he's a pretty strong kid and already leaves a mark when he whacks me with his plastic light saber. thankfully he usually only gets in one or two shots at me before i tackle him and tickle him until he can't breathe. then i let him up and the process starts all over.
this year, he's going to get something soft from me.
